The Ivy Group is looking for picture researchers to work on individual titles across an extensive list of non-fiction, co-edition, illustrated books. The potential to work from our Lewes office (10 minutes by train from Brighton) on a part-time basis, or as required on particular projects, would be an advantage, but we are also looking to expand our roster of freelance researchers working out of house.
We need picture researchers with the following qualities:
- extensive experience of finding images and clearing rights for co-edition books
- established relationships with agencies, museums and libraries
- an excellent visual sense and an understanding of the demands of book publishing
- a lateral and creative approach to finding large numbers of images from both conventional and unconventional sources
- great negotiating skills
- efficiency in organizing images and keeping logs and records
